Stuff...

So another week and another area. I´m being transfered in the morning. Don´t know where I´ll go or who I´ll be with. I´m gonna miss this area lots and lots and I hope that the next area will be a good one.
So last week was incredible. It feels like it lasted forever but the days seemed really short. Kinda strange. O-well. Yeah, with everything that happened I can´t think of anything that I want to write real bad. I waxed my legs. That was a different expirience...
I have a family that I was teaching for a while (5 months) and then the moved to the Bahia so I lost contact with them. This Saturday one of the daughters came back and I got to see her! Wahoo! Just in time to tell her that I was leaving. Lol! But what can ya do. I love this area do death. I love the people here, I love the cold, rain, heat, rats, spiders, and 2 little girls that interupt my studying. This area is incredible and I will miss it like I´d miss my arm if it got cut off. But I haven´t cried yet and I don´t plan on it either. I have 2 families that I really wanted to say good bye to and one of them I already did. Didn´t cry so I think I´m set. Lol!
Wow, I´m boring. But the good thing about me leaving this area is that I´m leaving the "danger zone." This area has lots of areas without light and without people so many times I was walking after dark in the middle of no where with me and my companion as company. Never fear, the Holy Ghost is always here! 6 months later and I didn´t even get robbed once. What a dissappointment. Just kidding, I don´t want to have that expirience. If I do you can be sure that I will try to give away a Book of Mormon to him. K, since I´m really just rambling I will go. Love you all lots and lots and hope you have a week full of fun and good times.

Ah choo!

I´m sick...I´ve been sneezing violently for the past 2 hours and it just so happened to be that I had to catch two busses and one train. Imagine how good it feels to be sick and have to travel. Now imagine those poor people that were close to me and how good you would feel if you had someone from another country sitting at your side sneezing and sniffling for even 5 minutes and then think of me in the last two hours...And now I´m using a public keyboard to write home...I´m somewhat in control right now but I still plan on getting in my house to take a pretty pill called benedryl so that I can walk the streets of São Paulo like a drunk person. Benedryl doesn´t have a very good effect on me but I´m close to desperate...
I woke up this morning and was hoping that everyone forgot that I said I would go to a park to ride a bike with them. They didn´t. I got a phone call that said get up and get over here. So 30 minutes later we were waiting and the terminal to catch a bus. They brought breakfast for us and Maracuja juice, which is a delicious fruit, that puts everybody to sleep except me and it gives me energy. So I was alright after that. Rode a bike for an hour, looked at some fish, then I headed to the Mission Office to get some letters that I was waiting for. After the office it all began and now I´m here.
Some things that I may have mentioned or may have forgotten and I will mention now. I love having a warm shower. After 2 months of showering without a water heater we finally have one that works. I am loving life in the morning now! We went to the temple and after using the toilet I looked to throw the paper in the trashcan...no trashcan...Panic!...wait, I remember now. Normally the paper gets flushed. Thank goodness for toilets with power. I´d forgotten how much I love pancakes bu thanks to the pregnant cravings of one of the Irmãs in the ward got the better of her and she invited me over to make them.
I love the mission and I love life and I love this area (the members could use a little work) but the area is incredible and even when I am sicker than snot (which I have more than I thought one person could have) I am so incredible happy right now that I could dance. But I won´t cause I´ve forgotten how...
I love you all and I hope that life is great and wonderful. I know that this work is so important. And it can´t be left for another day. If we aren´t out there talking with everyone today then we can give up tomorrow cause ten to one the JW´s already got to them and they´re afraid of you. Don´t let the opportunities pass you by.
Love you all!

O templo

I got to go to the Temple today! That´s always a great thing. 3 months is a long time to wait to go to the temple. It was good to go there again.
This Sunday was amazing!!!! I got to call home and it was great! My family is so beautiful and healthy and happy and I loved getting to talk to them and all. Ah, what a great thing...
We had interviews with President this week. That was good. I always learn alot when we have those. Usually alot of what I need to improve. I just get to the point when I´m confident in what I´m doing and that I´m doing things right and that everything is good and then I get educated about how I´m a horrible missionary and doing everything wrong. Ok, so he didn´t say that I´m a horrible missionary. He didn´t even emply that. But just from the things that he talked about I learned alot about what I need to get better at and how I can. I´m sure that things will progress better when I apply what I learend. We´ll see...
I made onion rings. My companions thought that they were horrible but other people liked them. Ha! She just thought that it was wierd that you ate onions without rice or meat.
Really I have nothing else that I can think of to write. Next week will be better. Love you guys lots and lots and lots. Have a great week.

Fat and Happy.

Hey all!
This week was one of a kind. This area is getting a little shut up now that winter is coming on. At least that´s what I tell myself. We had a hard time teaching anyone... They weren´t on the streets and when we tried to find them in their houses that didn´t work either. Even the people we knew didn´t have time to hear our message. So, we thought it over this weekend and we decided that we will have to get really creative. When everything isn´t working out we will knock doors and ask for water or to use the bathroom. Then when we´re done we will make friends and give a message and hopefully we will find lots of people that are willing to help out two sad-looking missionaries on the street.
We had a family home evening with the 1st counselor of the stake presidency (Carneiro) and they wanted to play tricks on each other after the lesson. So they asked if we knew any and so I thought of the "measuring for a coffin." Carneiro volunteered for it and man in was funny. If you know this trick you can imagine, the missionaries pulling this off on someone in the stake presidency. If you don´t know it I hope that one day you can be familiar with it. It´s great!
The same night that we were playing these tricks the grandma in the house almost died. She started choking, the type of choking where no air is coming or going. She was panicking, everyone else was panicking, I was speaking english, and she was turning purple. Carneiro did the himellic (I know the spelling is horible) and she started breathing again. She was gratefull that she hadn´t beem home alone when this happenen because she was sure she would have died. I then thought everyone how to do the hymlyc (lol) to themselves with a chair. For those of you that thought maybe it would be me, Miss CNA, so save the Brasilian woman think again... The woman was panicked enough to notice where everyone was and so when all was said and done she asked me why I was standing back in the corner and not helping. Lol! Carneiro was doing the himilic, Luana was patting her back, Sister Amancio was catching the food and I was standing back giving space trying to think of health terms in Portuguese. I told her 3 was more than suficient and 4 was just ridiculous. Lol! But now that it´s over and she´s alive, we all laugh about it and she makes fun of me for leaving her to die. It´s a good thing she likes me. Also as a side note...She said she wanted to loose weight so I told her she couldn´t eat anything after 8. (a big improvement from 10:30-11 pm.) 7:59 pm she went to the kitchen and said if she starts before 8 it doens´t count. 8:05 pm she choked. After wards she said she didn´t want to eat anymore. Lol! I hope she learned her lesson.
I hope that everyone is enjoying themselves now that school is getting close to being out. Enjoy that lovely warm weather. Have a good week!
Love,
Shelle
